Billy Walker Thompson

Billy Walker Thompson, 76, went to his heavenly home Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Norton Suburban Hospital.
He was born in Owen County to Woodrow & Edna (Hammond) Thompson.
He was a retired refrigeration mechanic for the Kroger Co., with over 30 years service.
He was a faithful member of Landmark Baptist Church for over 20 years, a U.S. Army veteran, and a Kentucky Colonel.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Nancy Bell Thompson; a son: Mark Lindsey Thompson (Martha); and three grandchildren: Patrick, Allison and Natalie.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 14, 2012, at Owen Funeral Home in Louisville with burial at 11 a.m., Feb. 15 in Owenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Owenton.
