The 2012 International Junior Olympics were held at the same venue the following day for 249 competitors from around the world. Competitors earn points from both events toward national ranking.

Competition was at its toughest this year with as many as 23 athletes in some divisions.
Robert Beverly placed third in the Junior Olympics and second in the International Junior Olympics.
James Thompson placed sixth in the Junior Olympics with two wins and two losses.
By adding four points from Junior Olympics and two points from the International Junior Olympics to the four points already earned at the 2011 Jr. U.S. Open, Robert Beverly is currently tied for second place national ranking with Arturas Lachinkas, and Robert Tkach. L.A. Smith is currently ranked in first place.
