Beuna Kinmon

Beuna Kinmon, 88, of Owenton, died Dec. 4, 2008, at St. Luke Hospital, East in Ft. Thomas.

 

Born Aug. 7, 1920, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late James and Bessie Stafford O’Banion and was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert “Hoot” Kinmon, and her brother, Woodrow S. O’Banion. Beuna was retired from Georgetown Cable Products and was a member of the Lusby’s Mill Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School and Bible School teacher for many years. She was an active leader in the 4-H Sewing Club and Homemakers Club.

She is survived by her two sons, Ronald S. Wainscott of Frankfort, and Hubert Glenn Kinmon of Verona; her daughter, Charlene Nation of Shelbyville; her sister, James Gladys Adkins of Owenton; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Dec. 8, 2008, with Bro. Jesse Bourne officiating. Burial was in Owenton Cemetery.
