Bernard Ray Hammond

Bernard Ray Hammond, 71, of Williamstown, formerly of Owenton, died April 27, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care Center in Edgewood.

He was a maintenance employee of Continental Web Press, Inc. of Richwood and a member of Victory Baptist Church in Owenton.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Vasty Hammond and Nora McCain Hammond Clifton.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Ann McCormick Hammond of Williamstown; three sons, Herbert Matthew “Bubby” Hammond, Thomas Hammond, James Allen Young; six daughters, Bernadine Pickett, Nita Renfro, Sheila Baker, Rita Roberts, Ann Marie Bruin, Kimberly Sue Owens; four brothers, Larry Hammond, Leo Hammond, William Clifton, Clarence Clifton; one sister, Anna New; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held April 28, 2009. Burial was in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
