Ben F. Thompson

Ben F. Thompson, 102, died Dec. 12, 2008, at Harborside Healthcare. Born Nov. 2, 1906, to Robert and Martha Jenkins Thompson of Owen County, he was a farmer and member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Minni Mae Rice Thompson; his son, J.B. Thompson; sisters, Nettie Layton, Sadie Morgan, Virgie Morgan, Lula McCormick and Bertha Corman.

Mr. Thompson is survived by a son, Carl Thompson of Frankfort; a granddaughter, Jennifer Elliott and husband Tony; and a great-grandchild, Jaden Elliott.

Funeral services were held Dec. 15, 2008, at McDonald & New Funeral Homes with the Rev. David Wotier officiating. Burial was in Owenton Cemetery.
