The record may not be what they want it to be, but these young Rebels do not quit. While the team did not pick up a win the last week, they did play a pair of close games.

Owen County opened last week with a 9-4 loss at Henry County. The team remained on the road Thursday night as they travelled to play Trimble County.

The Raiders and Rebels played a nail-biter that was eventually won by the home team by the final score of 7-6.

The team then travelled to Woodford County Friday and Saturday to take part in the Woodford County Invitational.

The Rebels played their first game against the host Yellowjackets. They would again play well but fell a run short in losing 3-2.

In their final game of the weekend, Danville got the best of Owen County, sending the Rebels home with a 12-3 loss.

Owen County will return to action Thursday at Dunavent Field as they welcome Walton-Verona to Owenton. They will then take on Western Hills at home Friday night. The team will remain at home Monday and Tuesday night with games against Woodford County and Franklin County.
