No one may have a perfect NCAA Tournament bracket but the Owen County High School baseball team has begun the season unblemished.
The team began the season last week with a pair of road games. The first came in Bedford against Trimble County on March 17.
The Rebels put up 10 runs in the first three innings but had to hold off a Raider rally to win the game 10-6.
Trimble County put up a five spot in the bottom of the fifth inning but could not manage to get any closer to drop their home opener.
The next game meant another bus ride for Owen County.
This time, they headed to Williamstown High School to take on the Demons.
This contest would feature much less drama as the Rebels won the game 9-1.
The 2-0 start is the first time since 2007 the team has won its first two games. That season, they began 5-0 before losing.
The Rebels were scheduled to begin this week by playing at Harrison County on Monday and Carroll County on Tuesday.
They will play at Eminence on Thursday before hosting Frankfort on Friday.
Owen County beat the Warriors twice last season.
