Owen County High School Head Football Coach Adam Fowler recently had the privilege to watch another one of his players sign to play football at the next level.

Daniel Dauwe and his family joined members of the coaching staff in the Owen County High School Library to sign with the University of the Cumberlands.

Last year, the Patriots finished 9-2 and captured the Mid-South Conference East Division title for the third-straight season. They finished the year ranked No. 10 in the NAIA.

Fowler said Dauwe was an important part of Owen County football both on and off the field.

“Daniel Dauwe is a young man that will be very hard to replace. He was an outstanding defensive back and wide receiver. More importantly, he is an outstanding young man. He has and will continue to make the people of Owen County very proud.”
