A 911 call from a juvenile led to the arrest of an Owenton man Friday.
Jesse Brandenburg, 33, was arrested on the charge of incest.
Kentucky State Police Public Affairs Officer Michael Webb said the call was received at 1:27 p.m.
“Incest implies the relationship of a family member,” Webb said. “These situations are obviously unfortunate because what has (allegedly) been done is sick, and we want the public to be aware of these acts, but we can’t release a lot of information.”
Webb said the victim is still in school and state police do not release many details to protect the victim from being made fun of or harassed.
Although 911 was called, Webb said the victim was not being held by a weapon — 911 was just who the victim decided to call.
Brandenburg had only been charged with traffic offenses in the past. He is in jail at the Carroll County Detention center with a $25,000 full cash bond set.
Kentucky State Police Trooper Kurt Boots will conduct an investigation.
