4-H News: First time 4-Her ice-cream social

Are you 9 years old? Is this your first year in 4-H? Come out to the Owen County Extension Office and enjoy some ice cream as we introduce you to all of the opportunities the 4-H program has to offer you.
The event will be held Oct. 9  from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the extension office.
There will be information available about the Livestock Club, Horse Club, Shooting Sports Club, New Columbus Community Club, Spring Break Project Day, Flower and Vegetable Project,  4-H Summer Camp, 4-H Sewing and many more.
The deadline to register is Oct. 5.
Contact the extension office to register so they can prepare enough ice cream.

Take part in 4-H Eco-bot challenge
On Oct. 12, the 4-H program will be hosting a 4-H Eco-bot challenge in collaboration with the National 4-H Youth Science day.  Youth will build an eco-bot with swupplies provided and complete an environmental challenge.  Space is limited.  Call the extension office to sign up 484-5703.

4-H livestock club orientation
The 4-H Livestock Club will be hosting a parent/member orientation Sept. 27 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Owen County Extension Office.

New Columbus 4-H Club meeting
The New Columbus Community 4-H Club will be meeting Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the New Columbus Baptist Church. Live in or near New Columbus and want to participate in 4-H without having to drive all the way to Owenton? This is your perfect opportunity and new members are always welcome.
