Martin Luther King Jr. and the Garbage Collectors

The sound of a rough motor blasted against my winter bedroom window. My sleep- drugged brain struggled to make sense of the noise. It was pitch dark, the middle of the night. Would burglars be that loud? Should I wake my husband and prod him to investigate? (Like Dagwood’s Blondie, I’ve taken that role in our self-defense throughout forty years of marriage.) Then the ping and clang of garbage cans echoed up and down our street, and my mind shifted into gear.

Bryson Shane Tirey

Shane and Lindsey Tirey are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Bryson Shane Tirey. Bryson was born Dec. 27, 2007, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
He weighed 7 pounds and 10 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Donald and Becky Duvall of Owenton.
Paternal grandparents are Ron and Sharon Tirey of Lexington.
