wins county's vote in race for Governor
•
Steady stream of voters made their
way
to the polls
A total of 2,896 Owen
County voters made their way to the polls to vote in yesterday’s
election.
This year’s election focused on state government, with voters
choosing a Governor and Lieutenant Governor, as well as other positions,
such as Attorney General and Secretary of State.

this year.
“Christian values are important,” Mike Morrison, a Fletcher
supporter, said.
Frank Pryor, a Democrat, took a different view. He said it was mostly
the scandals surrounding the election that affected his choice.

stockyards
A cable line along US
127 South was shot through more than a week ago, leaving homes in

Kentucky Ridge Country Communications (KRCC) owner Ron Reimer said
he received a call that day letting him know there were service
issues. In the process of researching the issues, an area of cable
