Joyce McCowan, 69

Joyce Barber McCowan, 69, died August 6, 2007, at her home in Rockledge, Fla.

Funeral Services were held August 6, 2007, at Herrod Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Wells of Caney Fork Baptist officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort.

Al Flaugher, 80

Al Flaugher, 80, of Corinth, died on August 15, 2007, at the Hospice Care Center of Northern Kentucky.

Bertha Orr, 97

Bertha Orr, 97, of Owenton, died Aug. 19, 2007 at the New Horizons Medical Center in Owenton.

Arrangements were handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Funeral services are today at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.

Norvin Fitzgerald, 79

Norvin Fitzgerald, 79, of Owenton, died August 16, 2007, at the New Horizons Medical Center.

Funeral services were held August 20, 2007, at El Bethel Christian Church with Bro. Ron Swiger officiating. Burial was in Owenton Cemetery.

William B. Arthur, 96

William B. (Bill) Arthur, 96, died August 13, 2007.

Graveside services were held August 17, 2007 with Bill’s nephew, the Rev. Dr. Paul E. Holbrook, Jr., formerly of Ashland, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the First Methodist Church, 18th and Carter Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.

Peter Cook, 68

Peter “Pete” Cook, 68, a resident of Mt. Kisco, N.Y., died July 21, 2007, unexpectantly at his home.

Internment of ashes will be at 3 p.m. on August 25 at Owenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Donald Lovell, 71

Donald F. Lovell, 71, died August 19, 2007, at the New Horizons Medical Center in Owenton.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. today at McDonald & New Funeral Home, Seminary Street Location. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. August 22, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cobb Family Cemetery.

Amber Grace Miller, infant

Amber Grace Miller, Baby daughter of Marie Miller died August 17, 2007.

Private grave-side services were held on August 20, 2007, at the Owenton Cemetery.

Mary Jean Keith, 64

Mary Jean Wheeler Keith, 64, of Frankfort, died August 14, 2007, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were held August 17, 2007, with the Rev. Gene Roberts and Rev. Don Carter officiating. Burial was in Monterey Cemetery.
