The Elk Creek Winery will unveil its new outdoor amphitheatre this weekend with a Jimmy Buffett-themed concert and dinner.
Rebekka Seigel, event organizer for the winery, said crews are working to finish the stage by Friday for Saturday’s performance.
The stage, measuring 30 feet deep and 40 feet wide, will play host to a number of concerts and events this summer.
A1A, a Buffett cover band, will play Saturday night, featuring Dave “Fingers” Taylor, the original harmonica player for Buffett.
The event will feature fake palm trees, beach balls and a Cheeseburger-In-Paradise-themed dinner.
“We’re going to make it as festive as we can,” Seigel said.
Other events slated for this summer include bluegrass artist Katie Lauer performing on June 16; fireworks, hot-air balloon rides and rock ‘n roll band Wiley McDermott & The Roadrunners preforming on July 7; and Cincinnati’s jazz-infused Blue Wisp Big Band, featuring guest trombonist Max Seigel of New York City, will perform on July 21.
