Cemetary rules and regulations regarding
grave decorations
At a regular meeting of Emmanuel Lodge #213, on March 15, the following rules and
regulations concerning
grave decorations were adopted and put into effect.
•The use of decorative rocks, mulch, stepping stones, bordering material,
statues, glass of
any type, any large concrete figures or any decorative material not attached to a monument
will not be allowed.
•The use of shepherd hooks and other flower holding devices may be used
if placed so that
they touch the base
of the monument and do not hang out far enough to impede mowing or create a
hazard.
•The planting of shrubs, trees, bulbs or any other plant will not be allowed.
•Personal memorabilia that can be permanently attached to a monument will
be allowed
as long as it does
not impede mowing or create a hazard.
It is our sincere desire to keep the grounds of the cemeteries neat and to continue
to provide a
desirable place for people to bury their loved ones. The safety of workers and visitors and
monument damage are also concerns and were part of this decision.
