Owen Vision Plan community forum tomorrow
The Owen Vision Plan will hold a community forum tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the county extension building. Members of the University of Kentucky landscape architecture class studying the county will present some of its ideas.

Harrod and Gayle will be at Historical Society Meeting tomorrow
John Harrod and Berta Gayle will be presenting at tomorrow’s meeting of the Owen County Historical Society.

BMS is selling discount eating cards
Bowling Middle School is selling discount eating cards through March 15. The cards are for Northern Kentucky, Frankfort, Lexington and Subway. Each card is $10. Anyone interested in purchasing a card should contact any middle school student or Marsha Derringer at 484-2189.

Davis will meet with District 3 on Saturday
Teresa Davis, Magistrate for District 3, has set up several meetings. On Saturday she will hold meetings at Bill Young’s Old Store from 10 to 11 a.m. and at Kemper’s Small Engine from 1 to 2 p.m.

D.A.R. will meet Saturday
The John Guill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.) will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Owen County Library. Fadana Bramblett will be the guest speaker. All women 18 years or older, who are interested in tracing their family patriots back to the Revolutionary War are welcome to attend.
Project Graduation AVON sale is under way
The Spring Project Graduation AVON sale is under way. See any senior to order for Easter. The sale will last until Monday.

Retired teachers will meet Tuesday
The Retired Teachers of Owen County will have their quarterly meeting at the Smith House Restaurant on Tuesday at 2 p.m. All members are urged to attend.
Local Planning Committee will meet Tuesday
The Owen County Local Planning Committee will host the first of three public forums at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the OCHS Auditorium.

Annual MWA Wrestling event is Wednesday
The Owen County High School Baseball and Softball teams will be sponsoring their annual MWA Wrestlling Event on March 14 at the High School gym. The event will be featuring TNA Stars Abyss and Wildcat Chris Harris. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Judo Tournament is March 17
The Owen County Judo Team will be hosting a Judo Tournament at Owen County High School. Admission will be $2 and the tournament begins at 12 p.m.

Library has events in March
The Owen County Public Library has many events scheduled for March. Adults can attend the free Internet Basics Computer Class on Monday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Space is limited, so registration is required. A Halo 2 LAN Party will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event is free for ages 15-25, but participants must provide their own lunch. Registration is required and please let the library know if you can supply a television, Xbox, or game. Family Movie Time presents “Flushed Away” March 12 at 5:30 p.m. This event is free and open to all ages. Popcorn is provided. Free Family Fun Night presents Marie Augustine’s Garbage Can Band. Come sing along with Ms. Marie and play her home made instruments or make your own and bring it with you. If you need ideas, pick up “How to Make Home Made Instruments” at the library. Teenagers will enjoy making earrings at the Teen Beads program March 27, 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Please call to register for this program. Call 484-3450 to register for a program or for more information. job readiness classes

The Owen County Adult Education Program is offering classes in job readiness skills. The program includes resume writing, interviewing skills, beginning computer skills and more. For more information, contact the Adult Education Center at 484-0405
