Georgia Green Stamper I was born in simpler times. I not only remember black and white television broadcasts, I remember when televisions had on and off knobs. The knobs were big, too, with straightforward words printed on them that said ON and OFF. Televisions also had an easy to locate sound control dial clearly labeled VOLUME and marked with directional arrows and the words UP or DOWN in large, black letters.
