Computer class
offered Monday
The Owen County Public Library will offer a free Basic
Computer Class from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Class size
is limited and registration is required. Please call the library
at 484-3450 for more information or to register.
Make your own
jewelry at the library
Teens ages 12 to 18 are invited to learn to make their
own jewelry at a program offered by the Owen County Public Library.
The program is free and will be held from 3:45 to 4:45 on Tuesday.
Materials are provided, but space is limited. Call 484-3450 to
register.
Davis will meet
with District 3
Teresa Davis, Magistrate for District 3, has set up several
meetings in the next month. On Feb. 3, a meeting will be held
from 11 a.m. to noon at Donna’s Diner in Corinth, and from
3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Risch’s Gun Shop. On Feb. 10, a meeting
will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Old Beechwood Store
and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Kemper’s Small Engine in Hesler.
A meeting will be held at Elk Lake at 9 a.m. on Feb. 17.
Youth Soccer
Registration begins Feb. 3
The Owen County Public Library will hold youth soccer
registration Saturdays in February – Feb.3, 10,17 and 24
– from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information call Mike

GED test is
Feb. 23
The next GED test for Owen County is Feb. 23. Anyone
interested in taking the test should contact the Adult Learning
Center at 484-0405 or come by the center. If you have taken the
GED but have one or more sections to retake, you can complete
the test on Feb. 23.
Local and state
police start roadblocks
In the upcoming months, local and state law enforcement
will be conducting periodic roadblocks.
Adult Education
center will change hours for winter
The Owen County Adult Education Center will be open 8
a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday through February. Evening
hours will be available upon request. If public schools are closed
for snow the adult learning center will also be closed. For more

Program offers job readiness classes
The Owen County Adult Education Program is offering classes in
job readiness skills. The program includes resume writing, interviewing
skills, beginning computer skills and more. For more information,
