Rebels defeat Henry Co. 72-47

The Runnin’ Rebels picked up their 12th win of the season Friday night with a 72-47 homecoming victory over visiting Henry County.
The Rebels were led by senior Daniel Neeley, who produced 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, along with fellow senior Zack Miller, who was a perfect 6-for-6 from the field, totaling 18 points and 5 rebounds.
Senior Jared Perkins also scored 16 points and grabbed 6 steals.


Lady Rebels win two out of three over rivals

The Lady Rebels recently went up against district rivals Carroll, Gallatin and Henry counties, picking up two wins and one loss.
The girls traveled back to Carroll County Jan. 5 and were handed their second loss by the Lady Panthers, 57-39.
Kelsey Williams led the offense with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Eko Kemper stepped up and scored 10 points. Dani Hutchinson put in five points.
The team faced Gallatin County at home on Jan. 9. Despite digging themselves an 11-1 hole, they were able to come back and pull out a 52-37 win. Cochran led the team with 15 points, five assists and five steals. Williams totaled nine points and pulled down eight rebounds. Kennedy scored eight points. Kemper had six points and seven boards.
The Lady Rebels celebrated homecoming with a 53-45 win over Henry County. Green was the leading scorer with 18 points. She also had five rebounds. Williams turned in a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Cochran scored 14 points and had three assists. Wainscott put in three and L. Lowe added two points. E. Lowe had three steals.
All A Regional Tournament
Owen County will take a record of nine wins and six losses to the All A Regional Tournament this week. They will face Eminence in the first round at 6 p.m. Thursday. They have not faced Eminence this year, but Eminence has yet to win a game. If the Lady Rebels win, they will face the winner of the Williamstown vs. Gallatin County game at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The championship game will be played at 7 p.m. Saturday. All games will be played at Carroll County High School.
