residents graduate from Bluegrass Challenge Academy
The Bluegrass
Challenge Academy of Fort Knox announced that cadets Thomas
Lucas Jr. and Robert Green, both of Owen County, graduated from
the academy on Dec. 15. Lucas is the son of Monica Pommering,
and Green is the son of Robert Green, both of Owenton.
Lucas and Green completed a 22-week program consisting of eight
core components with the opportunity to obtain their General
Education Diploma. The components are basic education; leadership/followership;
citizenship; life coping skills; health and hygiene; community
service; and physical training.
