Reuben Judy, 93

Reuben Dexter Judy, 93, of Lexington, died Dec. 21, 2006, at the Masonic Home in Louisville. Born in Monterey, he was the son of the late James B. and Daisy Noel Judy. He owned United Merchandise Brokers and was a retired sales representative.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Judy (Brandt) Ford of Louisville and Julia Lynn Weingartner of Cincinnatti; a son, James Howard Judy of Lexington; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the chapel at Central Christian Church with Dr. Ray Holdren officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery in Monterey.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.

 


Ruby Osborne, 86

Ruby Katherine Osborne, 86, of Owenton, died Dec. 26, 2006 at New Horizons Medical Center. Born April 21, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Bobby D. and Hallie Vannarsdall. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Billy Gayle Osborne of Jonesville; one sister, Betty Jane Perkins of Jonesville; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Osborne, and a son, Robert Eugene Osborne.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at the Main Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Main Street location. Burial will be in the Jonesville Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church.


Martha Husband, 76

Martha Tapp Husband, 76, of Taylorsville, died Dec. 22, 2006, at Valley View Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Taylorsville. Born in Eastwood, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Meecie Simpson Tapp. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by four sons, Lonnie Husband of Owenton, Guthrie Husband of Taylorsville, William Husband of Taylorsville, and John Husband of Prospect; a daughter, Donna Puckett of Taylorsville; a brother, Orville Lee Tapp of Louisville; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Guthrie Husband.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Hall-Taylor Funeral Home in Taylorsville with the Rev. Johnny Hood and Pastor Bob Phalen officiating. She will be interred at Highland Memorial Gardens in Mt. Washington.
Expressions of sympathy may be made at Elk Creek Baptist Church, the American Diabetes Association or Hospice of Louisville.

 


Delia Chesney, 87

Delia Chesney, 87 of Erlanger, died Dec. 21, 2006, at Villaspring Health Care Center. She was born Jan. 9, 1919, in Corbin and was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters, Velta Janson of Bellevue, Opal Fuson of Owenton, and Gymmie “Tina” Mason of Fayetteville, Ohio; a son, Dennis Deal of Bellevue; a brother, Earl Johnson of Scottsville; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell D. Chesney.
Funeral services were held yesterday at Dobbling Funeral Home in Bellevue with the Rev. Stanley Webb officiating. Burial was in Owenton Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Covington.
