Lady Rebels pick up two wins

By Kelsey Williams
NH Sports Writer

Early Saturday morning the Owen County Lady Rebels soccer team loaded up the bus and headed to Lincoln County to take on the Lincoln County Patriots.
It was a very rough and hard fought game, but the Lady Rebels came out on top with a 2-1 victory. Goals were scored by Ciara McDaniel and Jerusha Toole. Lincoln County scored their only goal on a penalty kick due to a handball in the goal box. The JV team also won their match 1-0, with Danielle Watson scoring the single goal.
The Lady Rebels had a rematch with the Bellevue Tigers last week for the Lady Rebels’ last home game of the season.
The Rebels walked away with a victory, defeating the Tigers 4-3. Goals were scored by Toole with 2, Shadoe Perry and McDaniel. Coach Rusty Williams said, “We played a very strong offensive game. It’s what I like to see out of my team.”
