The Owen County boys soccer team hosted the Woodford County Yellowjackets
Thursday afternoon and while they put up a strong defense, they
just couldn’t pull out a victory in the match. The final
score was 2-0. Above, Owen County defender Michael Payton works
hard to keep the ball out of reach of a Yellowjacket. The Rebels’
record stands at 1-6-1. They have allowed 25 goals and earned
eight of their own. Their next game is set for Thursday at home
against Burgin.

Owen County worked hard to keep the Henry County Wildcats at bay
Friday night, leading 10-7 at the half. But the Wildcats came
back from the locker room ready for some dinner, and put two more
touchdowns on the board while holding the Rebels scoreless. At
the buzzer, the scoreboard read Henry County, 21, Rebels 10. Top

a Henry County pass. Below right, Jacob Oakes moves the ball out
of a crowd of Henry County defenders for an Owen County first
down. The Rebels travel to Grant County Friday night, taking a
1-2 record up against Grant’s 1-2 record. Grant defeated
Ludlow Friday night, but put marks in the loss column against
Dayton and Casey County. The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
