Annual Fair Kicks Off

Morgan Juett was crowned Miss Owen County Fair Monday night during
the first night of the 75th annual Owen County Fair and Horse
Show. Courtney Davis was first runner-up, followed by Jimi Sue
Lynn, Teena Lynn and Shadoe Perry. Perry was also awarded the
Miss Congeniality award. Juett will preside over the pageants
for the remainder of the week in her role as fair queen. Other
activities Monday night included the horse show, softball and
cornhole tournaments and rides. For more photos from the first

state laws go into effect today, police can stop drivers for not
wearing seat belts

of new state laws goes into effect today, with the introduction
of a “deadly force” law and changes to existing motorist
statutes among the most notable.
