Steed
graduates from
U of L School of Medicine

Shannon Ogden Steed, daughter of Jackie
and Becky Ogden, graduated from the University of Louisville School
of Medicine on May 13, 2006. She will complete one year of internal
medicine training at the University of Louisville Hospital before
moving to Indianapolis for a four-year residency in radiology.
She is the granddaughter of Betty Ogden and the late Jack Ogden
and Dorothy Hawkins and the late Boyd Hawkins.
Dean’s
List
Virginia
Tech
Joseph A. Sparrow of
Owenton was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2006
semester at Virginia Tech. Sparrow is a junior majoring in dairy
science in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
To qualify for the dean’s list, students must attempt at
least 12 credit hours graded on the A-F option and earn a 3.4
grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).

Dews is a 2002 graduate of OCHS and the daughter of Larry and
Darlene Dews of New Columbus. She is working on her master’s
degree at UK in Career and Technical Education. She will begin
the 2006-2007 school year as the Family and Consumer Science teacher
at Owen County High School.
Georgetown
College
Three students from
Owen County have been named to the dean’s list for the spring
semester at Georgetown College.
They are: Jeremy Allen Doolin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry A. Doolin;
Tonya Denise Morgan, daughter of Brenda Morgan; and Ashley Lauren
Perkins, daughter of Laura Perkins.
The dean’s list honors undergraduate students who completed
the semester with at least 12 hours and a 3.7 GPA. |
