Celebrates 50th Reunion

The Owen County class of 1956 celebrated its 50th class reunion June 17, 2006, at the Owen County Extension Building. The meal was catered by Gary Grigsby of Henry County. The class was the smallest ever to graduate from Owen County High School with 50 members, 11 who have been lost to death. There were 25 class members present at this reunion, which was enjoyed by everyone. Homemakers Travel To

Pigeon Forge

Several of the Owen County Extension Homemakers traveled to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., on June 27-29. They went to the Black Bear Jamboree and the Country Tonight Show, did a consumer survey and built friendships.
