Snell, 64
Myron Snell, 64, of Glencoe, died June 23, 2006, at his residence
following an extended illness.
Born Sept. 25, 1941, in Owen County, he was the son of the late
Woodrow and Viola Mason Snell.
He was a farmer and a member of Glencoe Baptist Church.
He is survived by his brother, Ray Douglas Snell; two nephews,
Barry and Kevin Snell; three great-nephews, David, Andrew and
Brian Snell; two great-nieces, Heather and Laura Snell; and two
great-great-nephews, Aaron and Tyler Snell, all of Glencoe.
Funeral services were held June 26 at McDonald & New Funeral
Homes with Bro. Jesse Bourne officiating. Burial was in Poplar
Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
Carmon Prather, 73
Carmon Prather, 73, of Newport, formerly of New Columbus, died
June 22, 2006, at St. Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas. He was
a retired assembly line worker for Fisher Body in Norwood and
an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by a daughter, Sherry Prim of Alexandria; three
sons, Rick Prather of Independence, Jody Prather of Burlington
and Barry Prather of Hamilton, Ohio; a sister, Sylvia Mae Minnie
of Newport; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 24 at McDaniel Funeral Home in
Corinth. Burial was in New Columbus Cemetery in Corinth. Memorial

Mabel Miller, 98
Mabel Miller, 98, of Owenton, died June 19, 2006, at her residence.
Born March 30, 1908, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the
late Sandy and Heebie Frances White. She was a homemaker and attended
Faith Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Sandy Farmer of Palm Bay, Fla.; a step-son-in-law,
Bob Richards of Cincinnati; a sister, Mary Farmer of Covington;
a granddaughter, Cheryl Pekar; seven great-grandchildren; and
three step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Oral W. Miller; a daughter, Vivian Brock; and grandchildren Rebecca
Farmer and Walter Terry Coggeshall.
Funeral services were held June 22 at McDonald & New Funeral
Homes with Bros. Jerry Brewer, David Wotier and Dave Dauwe officiating.
Burial was in Arlington Cemetery in Cincinnati.

Mildred Hardin, 77
Mildred Hardin, 77, of Owenton, died June 23, 2006, at New Horizons
Medical Center. Born Dec. 13, 1928, in Gratz, she was the daughter
of the late Willis and Maude Wilhoite Smith, a homemaker and a
member of Gratz Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by sons William Lee Hardin of Lexington and Leslie
Willard Hardin of Owenton; a daughter, Shirley Goodrich of Paris;
a brother, B. Smith of Salem, Ind.; five sisters, Edna Sams of
Monterey, Minnie Sanders of Frankfort, Justine Kirkland of Steinhatchee,
Fla., Pauline Latta of Tacoma Park, Md., and Mamie Becker of Coldmont,
Tenn.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Milton Alexander Hardin; a sister,
Susie Garrett; and a brother, Clyde Smith.
A memorial service was held June 27 at Gratz Seventh Day Adventist
Church with Bro. Lin Powell officiating. Memorial contributions
may be made to Gratz Seventh Day Adventist Church.
