Holiday Closings
• The News-Herald will be closed Tuesday for the Fourth of July holiday. All editorial and advertising copy for the July 5 edition must be submitted no later than noon Friday for inclusion.
• All post offices will be closed on Tuesday for the July 4 holiday. There will be no mail delivery, except for Express Mail.
• The Owen County Extension Office will be closed July 4.

Class of 1981 looking for classmates

The OCHS Class of 1981 is attempting to locate the following classmates for its 25th class reunion: Charlotte Burford, Audrey Hudson, Teresa Irwin and Greg Race. Class of 1977 planning reunion
The OCHS Class of 1977 is planning its 30th reunion with a tentative date of September 2007 at the Capital Plaza Inn, formerly the Holiday Inn, in Frankfort. Yard sale items wanted
The Project Graduation 2007 will be holding a yard sale to raise funds. Anyone who would like to donate items should call Carol Wooten at 484-3497 or Dianna O’Toole at (859) 643-3428.
Fair passes available
Weekly fair passes are available for $15 and are good for entrance into the Owen County Fair from July 10-15. Carnival rides are not included in the pass. Box seats for events at the main ring are available for $25. For more information or to purchase passes, contact Dot Olds, Mark Baldwin, Noel True or stop by Minch Hardware or the Owen County Extension Office.
Glasses found
A pair of prescription glasses has been found near 513 East Adair St. Pick up at The News-Herald office.
Farmer Bill coming to the library
The Owen County Public Library will welcome Farmer Bill and his petting zoo at 2 p.m. today. Also appearing will be ventriloquist and juggler extraordinaire Mike Hemmelgarn and Melvin.
Project Graduation to meet Thursday
Project Graduation 2007 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Owen County Elementary School cafeteria.
Three Rivers board to meet Thursday
The Three Rivers District board of health will meet at noon Thursday at the Three Rivers District office located at 510 S. Main St., Owenton.
4-H camp registration deadline is Monday
The last day to register for 4-H camp is Monday. Camp orientation is at 7 pm. July 6 at the extension office. All youth attending camp must attend the meeting with a parent or legal guardian to be able to go to camp.
