OCHS football
schedule released
The Owen County High School football team will open the fall season on Aug. 18 at Dayton. The home-opener is Aug. 25 against Gallatin County, which is fielding a varsity team for the first time. The Rebels went 2-8 last year.

Adult Golf Clinic planned
Owen County Parks & Recreation will be hosting a four-week adult golf clinic on Wednesday evenings at the Fairway Golf Course in Wheatley. The clinic will be held from 6-8 p.m. and will run through July 12. The cost of the clinic is $30. Instruction will be provided by Fairway Golf Course club pro Gilbert England. Golf Camp scheduled
Owen County Parks & Recreation will be sponsoring a Golf Camp from 9-11:30 a.m. from July 10-13 at Fairway Golf Course in Wheatley. The camp is for beginning golfers ages 8-14. Cost is $30. Instruction will be provided by Fairway Golf Course club pro Gilbert England and his staff. Deadline for registration is July 7. To register a camper, or for questions please call 484-3225.
OCHS softball to hold awards ceremony
The Owen County High School softball team will have a home run, fly ball and throwing contest for players and parents at 6 p.m. on June 19 at the high school softball field. A meal and awards ceremony will follow at 7 p.m. All Lady Rebels softball players and parents are invited.
British Soccer Camp coming to Owenton
The British Soccer Camp will be held at Actaris Fields from July 31 through Aug. 4. The camp is for kids ages 3-16. For more information call Delores Dempsey at 484-2649 or Mike Marston at 484-2776.
