line money survives governor’s cuts
As of last Thursday
evening, Owen County’s $5 million for a natural gas line
was coming out of the state’s budget via the governor’s
veto pen.

First day of school is Aug. 10

not out yet, but the date has already been set for next year’s
starting date.
Students and parents in the Owen County School District can mark
their calendars for Aug. 10. That’s the first day of school
for students this year.
