Party: Democrat
Platform: “Dedicated to the improvement of Owen County, including: more quality jobs; promote and maintain qualified fire, rescue and emergency medical services; maintain increase in public water services; management of good planning to preserve the rural integrity of Owen County; utilizing findings of 20/20 survey to keep Owen County progressive; schedule quarterly meetings to address concerns of Owen Countians.”
Age: 59
Education: Bachelor of science degree in biology and chemistry from Eastern Kentucky University, 1970; Kentucky Certified EMT, since 1973; Kentucky Certified firefighter, since 1975; Kentucky Registered Sanitarian, since 1982.

Awards: Coach of the Year, Owen County Youth Football; Owen County Baseball; twice named Director of the Year, Owen County Jaycees.
Primary concerns if elected or re-elected: “Quality jobs so your youth can stay here and raise a family; increase waterline services; maintain our excellent fire, rescue and emergency medical services; good planning so that Owen County can be progressive; increase recreational opportunities for county; establish a more positive atmosphere between the fiscal court and the public.”

Platform: “Helping people of my district. Before I filed my papers to run, people from all over my district called to make sure I was running again.”
Age: 54
Education: Graduate of Owen County High School
Children: Ryan and Stephen
Previous employment: Self-employed for the last 25 years.
Awards: 16 years of perfect attendance at monthly fiscal court meetings.
Primary concerns if elected or re-elected: “Doing my part as magistrate to help our fire departments, sheriff’s department, ambulance service, senior citizens and transportation. Help the people of my district by improving roads, like Old Beechwood, Caney Creek, Harmony, Leaning Oak, just to mention a few. To work with the judge and fiscal court to get money to close gaps in water lines, like Hammond School House Road, Harmony Road, Towles Lane, Carr Lane and Caney Creek. Support the industrial board to get jobs in Owen County and support the hospital. Last Tuesday night, we had our monthly court meeting. Not one person running for office showed up to the meeting. We have asked people for years to come to your fiscal court meeting so you will know what goes on in your county. Please do so.”
