The House
of Representatives approved a budget for the state last week and
Owen County is set to receive a chunk of change — if changes
in the Senate don’t take it away.
Owen County continues
to make progress in the world of technology.
The Community Leadership Team met Monday at the Owen County Public
Library to review how each of the teams has begun to put their
project ideas into effect.
Owen County has
finally made the short list for the construction of a new
judicial center.
The county is ranked No. 10 on a list of counties next up
for new facilities. The list is included in the House’s
judicial budget bill approved last week.
A bill that started out as an attempt
to help area farmers deal with growing problems from coyote
packs has elicited strong opposition from the animal activist
groups.
