WMU
activities for next eight months outlined
March 24-26:
Mission Trip/information-gathering to “My Father’s
House”ministry in Jenkins. Anyone who heard Bessie McPeek
speak in January is welcome to go. Please call Anna Cook if you
plan to attend.
March 31-April 1: EXALT and 4GO for our Acteens and Guys, Bowling
Green.
April: Kentucky Raceway Ministries volunteer orientation. The
location and time will be announced later.
April 13: “April Showers,” our WMU meeting will be
at New Columbus at 7 p.m. We will be focusing on helping expectant
moms by putting together gift bags and delivering them to the
health department to be distributed as needed. See the enclosed
flyer.
April 21-22: “Keep the Message Alive,” the Kentucky
WMU Annual Meeting will be at Harrodsburg Baptist Church. Friday
evening the theme is “Fiesta” and we may wear Hispanic
attire and are asked to bring new Hispanic Bibles for the Kentucky
Hispanic Ministry. Be sure to register the ladies of your church
and indicate if transportation is needed. Let me know as soon
as possible.
May 5-6: “No One Can Fill Your Shoes,” the Owen County
and Ten Mile Women’s Retreat at Cedarmore.
May 8: Owen County WMU Team meeting, 7 p.m.
May 12-13: Kentucky Raceway Ministries will need volunteers and
home-baked cookies.
May 20: State Association Leadership Training for our WMU Team
will be at Northside Baptist Church, Winchester, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
June 15-17: KRM’s biggest race. Many cookies and volunteers
will be needed.
June 27-29: GA Day Camp. Please make sure all the girls in grades
1-6 get to attend.
July 6-8: KRM once again will need cookies and volunteers.
July 5-8: Bro. Marlow and Mary will be on mission in Switzerland.
They will need our prayers and financial help.
July 8-15: The Owen County Fair ministries will need our help
preparing breakfast and working in the booth in the evenings.
July 15-26: Brianna Clark, Owen County Acteen, will be on mission
in Slovenia. Please pray for her team.
July 20: Summer WMU meeting will be at Dallasburg at 6 p.m. with
emphasis on youth activities.
July 21-22: World Missions Unlimited, training for church WMU
leadership, will be at Westport Baptist Church in Louisville.
August 11-12: KRM’s last race.
October 12: Fall WMU meeting will be at South Fork at 7 p.m.
