Rebels junior varsity basketball team had an easy time with Oldham
County Thursday night, beating the Colonels 35-20.
Owen County led throughout, taking a 7-5 lead after one quarter,
then extending the margin to 15-9 at halftime.
The Rebels outscored Oldham County 14-3 in the third quarter to
up the lead to 29-12.
Chad Perkins led the Rebels with eight points. Jared Perkins,
Zack Miller and Daniel Buchanan each scored six points. Colin
Gamble had five points and Clint Hamilton scored four points.
Owen County played Tuesday against Trimble County and are home
at 6 p.m. Friday against Walton-Verona.
