District report cards are online

Easy clothing repair class set for today
The Learn With Us leader lesson will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the Owen County Extension Office. Those attending will learn easy clothing repair.
Soccer registration is Saturday
Owen County Youth Soccer registration will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Owen County Library for ages 4 and up. The fee is $35. A discount applies for each additional child from the same family. Please bring a copy of birth certificates for new players. If you have any questions please call Mike Marston at 484-2776 or Dolores Dempsey at 484-2649.
Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Walk planned
There will be a Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Walk from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 25 at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Several activities are planned for this day. There will be heart face painting and an inflatable bouncer for the kids. Door prizes, a silent auction, food for sale, heart crafts for sale, entertainment from local gospel groups, informational booths on CHDs and a new support group through Mended Little Hearts is also being planned. All proceeds will benefit congenital heart defect research that is being done at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Come and show your support for CHD research by walking and joining in on the fun. There will be a special recognition walk for adults/children that are present with a congenital heart defect. A display is also going to be set up with pictures of adults/children with a CHD (whether they are a survivor or an angel). If you are interested in having your picture or a picture of your child displayed, or if you are going to be present on the 25th and have a CHD or a child with a CHD, please contact Katie Columbia at 463-2450. You can also e-mail pictures along with name, birth date, and medical diagnosis to rkaecolumbia@earthlink.net. For more information on the event or if you would like to donate, contact Katie or Judy Hetterman at 484-5703. This program is being sponsored by the Owen County Extension Homemakers.
House of Reptiles to visit the library
The House of Reptiles will bring snakes and other reptiles to the Owen County Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 27 for the Free Family Fun Night. The program is free and open to all ages. For more information, call 484-3450 or visit the library Web site at www.owencountylibrary.org.
Project Graduation to meet March 1
The next meeting of Project Graduation is 6 p.m. March 1 at the Smith House.
Weather Spotters class planned
A Weather Spotters class will be held at 7 p.m. March 1 at the Owenton and Owen County Volunteer Fire House. The training will last about two hours. Reservations are not necessary.
Adult computer classes offered
Do you know how to use a computer? Are you the only one among your friends without e-mail? Are you clueless when your children talk about surfing the net? Join the computer age by signing up for free adult computer classes at the library. Call 484-3450 to learn more and to get registered for classes in Computer Basics, Intro to the Internet, and How to Set up Free E-Mail. Classes begin March 6 at 6 p.m. Space is limited and registration is required.
