After a
close first quarter, the Owen County junior varsity boys basketball
team broke the game wide-open on Jan. 31 against Eminence, beating
the Warriors 46-29.
The Rebels opened an 8-0 lead, but by the end of the first quarter
were clinging to a 13-12 lead.
Behind a 10-0 spurt in the second quarter, the Rebels increased
the lead to 23-12 and led 25-16 at halftime.
Owen County outscored Eminence 21-13 in the second half.
Zack Miller led the Rebels with 12 points. Clint Hamilton also
scored in double figures, adding 11 points.
