Howell , 76
William S. Howell, 76, of Glencoe, died Nov. 28, 2005, at his
home. He was born Dec. 17, 1928, in Cincinnati, the son of the
late Freddie Lee and Gladys Howell. He was a retired truck driver
for Mclean Trucking Co.
He is survived by two sons, Freddie Howell of Glencoe and William
Glenn Howell of Worthville; three brothers, Raymond and Virgil
Howell, both of Sparta, and Jackie Howell of Franklin, Ohio; three
sisters, Wanda Judy and Jo Belle Schweitzer, both of Greenfield,
Ind., and Louise Smoot of Frankfort; four grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy
Jean Howell.
Funeral services were held Dec. 1 at Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home.

Anna
Bell, 94
Anna H. Bell, 94, of Eminence, died Nov. 29, 2005, in LaGrange.
She was the daughter of the late Leonard Wyatt and Polly Ann Tate
Parker and a member of Monterey Baptist Church since 1935.
She is survived by two sons, George W. Bell of Eminence and A.J.
Bell of Pleasureville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Willard Bell, and
eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Dec. 1 at Prewitt Eminence Funeral
Home with pastor Alan Browning officiating. Burial was in Bedford
I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joseph Bell, Glenn Browning,
Harley Shelton, Carroll Ray Teters, Bobby Roberts and Robert W.
Moore. Honorary pallbearers were Hubert Crum, Lorena Covington
and Yvonne Dunavan.
Delone Hunter, 79
Delone Hunter, 79, of Corinth, died Nov. 30, 2005, at Harborside
Nursing Home in Owenton. He was the former Owen County Farm Bureau
director, a farmer and member of New Columbus Methodist Church.
He is survived by two brothers, Robert J. Hunter and Hillary Hunter
Jr., both of Corinth; a sister, Mary Belle Wright of Covington;
and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his
wife, Florence Hunter, and a brother, Agee Hunter.
Funeral services were held Dec. 2 at McDaniel Funeral Home in
Corinth. Burial was in New Columbus Cemetery in Corinth. Memorial

Mason, 60
Janie Baird Mason, 60, died Nov. 28, 2005, at her home.
She is survived by a son, Shannon Darryl Mason of Verona; a daughter,
Shanessa Marie Corley of Florence; five brothers, Harold Baird
of Taylor Mill, Lenny Marksberry of Owenton, Richard Marksberry
of Covington, Randal Marksberry of Williamstown and Robert Eubanks
of Covington; a sister, Debbie Marksberry of Jacksonville, Fla.;
and three grandchildren, Joshua, Austin and Taylor Mason. She
was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Marksberry and Margie
Langston Marksberry, and a sister, Marlana Feeback.
A memorial service was held at Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home in
Warsaw Dec. 3. Memorial donations may be made to the American

Jack Boots, 71
Jack L. Boots, 71, of Corinth died Dec. 1, 2005, at St. Elizabeth
Medical Center in Grant County. He was a retired union master
mechanic plumber and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He
was a Mason, a member of New Columbus Baptist Church, the American
Legion Post 24 in Georgetown and the Veterans of Foreign Wars
in Georgetown.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Benge Boots; two daughters,
Cynthia Folchi of Amelia, Ohio, and Barbara Baum of Wabash, Ind.;
two sons, Craig Scott Martineck of Felicity, Ohio, and Troy Boots
of New Richmond, Ohio; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 4 at McDaniel Funeral Home in
Corinth. Cremation took place following the services. Memorial

Caldwell , 77
Denver “Buddy” Caldwell, 77, of Jonesville died Dec.
5, 2005 at New Horizons Medical Center in Owenton.
The son of the late Kirtley Caldwell and Eliza Jane Scroggins
Caldwell, he was a farmer and worked for the Kentucky state highway
department.
He is survived by his wife, Velva Caldwell of Jonesville; two
sons, Buddy Glenn Caldwell of Jonesville and Eugene Caldwell of
Owenton; two daughters, Veneda Smith of Owenton and Melissa Crosswaite
of Dry Ridge; a brother, five sisters, 11 grandchildren and three
great grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Elliston-=Stanley
Funeral Home. Services will be at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Dec.
8, 2005.
